Welcome to "On My Bookshelf"! I am an insane reader....novels, non-fiction, newspapers, magazines, poetry, blogs...... If it's in print, I am willing to give it a try.
My favourite time is Saturday afternoon when my newspaper arrives. Cup of tea in hand, I cozy up on my bed and devour every word....even the Business section! Those words connect me to my home and the rest of the world.
Peruse my bookshelf and you will find everything from "get down to business" financial books, to beautifully photographed design books, to Thai cook books, to exercise books, to favourite childhood novels, to non-fiction accounts of war experiences, to.......well you get my point. I love variety.
The written word has a power that cannot be denied. The more you read, the more knowledge you have. Reading=Knowledge=Power.
PS...Please don't ask me to read fantasy.....yuck!
